BETAH Wins HHS ACL Contract

BETAH Associates has been awarded a contract by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Under this award, BETAH will provide a variety of communications support services to ACL’s Office of External Affairs (OEA). Since 2013, BETAH has provided such services to OEA under a contract that concluded in September 2016. The new award will allow BETAH and ACL to build on important communications cornerstones set during that time.

ACLWebCreated in 2012, ACL’s mission is to maximize the independence, well-being, and health of older adults, people with disabilities across the lifespan, and their families and caregivers. ACL works with states, agencies, tribes, and others to help all community members preserve their basic right to live independently and with dignity, participating fully in communities of their choice. ACL strives to achieve this mission by investing in research that leads to better community options, making services more available and easier to access, and advocating for individuals and families.

BETAH’s support contract includes writing, editing, graphic design, video production, translation, and Section 508 compliance services. The team will assist OEA in strategically planning and developing materials for the greatest possible impact on stakeholders. In addition to providing on-site public affairs support in Washington, DC, BETAH is tasked with the development of matte releases, animations, exhibit materials, and campaign collateral for large observances like Older Americans Month. BETAH will also provide communications training for OEA staff and coordinate ad-hoc services, such as videography, as needed.
