A Black woman's resourcefulness, perseverance, and resilience are undeniable. But at what cost to her health and her wealth? On Juneteenth (June 19) BETAH Associates sponsored and managed the event logistics for Boss Ladies: Improving Health! Increasing Wealth! Breakfast and Forum - a dynamic gathering of Black women thought leaders who came together to address disparities and share strategies to overcome them.
The event was hosted by the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce (MBCC) and its Affinity Group, the Black Women's Leadership Roundtable (BWLR). MBCC is a leading resource for information, support, and education for Black-owned businesses in Maryland. BETAH Associates was pleased to sponsor, plan and manage this event.
Event Feedback
Feedback from the Boss Ladies Breakfast was resoundingly positive with repeated requests to continue the conversations and explore other topics affecting professional women. As BETAH's President and CEO mentioned during the morning, BETAH has planned and implemented such gatherings and will carry forward the "Boss Ladies Breakfast" brand to host future events. The intent is also to partner with MBCC and BWLR to host an annual larger event for professional Black women.
