Technical Assistance, Training, and Support Other Services

Family Support 360 Administration on Developmental Disabilities, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Since 2004, BETAH has managed the delivery of training and technical assistance to ADD’s Family Support 360 grantees. Through this multi-year grant program, ADD funds organizations to create support centers for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

BETAH’s role in this initiative includes assisting grantees with start-up and operations, identifying resources to enhance organizational capacity and promote sustainability, developing communication and support structures and systems, managing virtual and in-person grantee training, and working with grantees to evaluate their projects.

Under this contract, BETAH also developed and launched the Family Support 360 Web site that BETAH maintains for ADD. The Web site is used for information sharing, resource delivery, communication and knowledge transfer among grantees. The site is an integral part of the assistance provided to ADD grantees, and it includes a resource library and structural support for peer-to-peer communication.

BETAH staff continuously conducts needs assessments and evaluates its own provision of technical assistance.
